About the Chef

My name is Silvia and I’ve lived in the United States for the past thirteen years. I grew up in the NorthEastern part of France, in the city of Nancy (Alsace-Lorraine) famous for its Quiche Lorraine, baba au rhum, bergamotes, fois gras and so many other specialtes. My parents moved to France from Pesaro, a small city on the Adriatic coast of Italy, well-known for its pasta dishes, seafood, truffles and porcini. Considering this particular background, my cuisine has evolved in an Franco-Italian environment, therefore has quite a unique flair.

I have been in the kitchen for as long as I remember and became a professional chef several years ago in France. After a brief stint in marketing and the corporate world, but still cooking and catering on the side, I decided to pursue full-time what my lifelong passion was, and enjoying it ever since.

My specialties are healthy French, Italian and mediterranean cuisines. Meals can be hearty, sophisticated and elegant, romantic, light, or anything you want it to be, the only constant parameter is that they will fit your exact requirements.

I equally enjoy preparing other types of cuisines, using different flavors, fragrances and spices such as Moroccan, Asian influenced cuisine or even Indian.

I also service special diets such as vegan, dairy and gluten-free for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions and Kosher. My cuisine is organic, healthy, nutritious, authentic and most of all GMO-free. I am a firm believer of the benefits of Slow Food, vegetables and organic products on health and I am trying to promote a better quality of life and lifestyle through proper nutrition.

I pay close attention to the quality of the products I cook with; all the dishes are made from the freshest local and sustainable products and imported ones (when available and necessary in a specific recipe). I will be able to work within your budget and dietary restrictions.
